Speaking to Harper's Bazaar UK, she said: 'David is in our hearts and minds on a daily basis, for all of us. You know, this was my true love.

'My daughter once asked me if I would ever marry again and I said, 'never'... He's hiding in plain sight. His fans are still around, his music is still relevant.

'And on the day of his passing, I went on a hike and a bluebird flew in front of me. A bluebird, above all things!'

Meanwhile, Iman - who has daughter Alexandria Zahra Jones, 20, with the late star, and is stepmother to his son Duncan Jones, 49, from a previous marriage - also revealed that despite their fame and success, their relationship 'could not have been more regular'.

She added: 'It was a really everyday marriage. He was a very funny, warm gentleman – you know, everyone talks about him being futuristic, but no, he was not, he liked more than anything to wear a three-piece suit.

'It was a beautiful, ordinary life and that was what was great about it. We could live in New York, pick up our daughter from school, walk everywhere... You know, I wish we had had more years.'

Iman previously opened up on how support from fans helped her cope with Bowie's loss in the months after his death.

In 2017, she said: 'The outpouring of grief over David’s passing has helped me tremendously, though sometimes I’ve been at odds with it, too: Universal grieving for your life partner can also keenly deepen your own sense of all that you’ve lost.'

Iman has remembered her late husband David Bowie on what would have been his 74th birthday.

The 'Starman' singer - who passed away in January 2016 after a battle with cancer - would have marked the milestone on Friday (08.01.21) and his widow has marked the day by remembering the singer.

She shared a poignant quote from Alfred Lord Tennyson, which read: 'If I had a flower for every time I thought of you. I could walk through my garden forever.'

Before sharing a picture of Bowie performing, captioning it: '#BowieForever.'

It comes after Iman insisted she will 'never' marry again after Bowie's death.
